Welcome!

I wanted to take a moment to preface our future environmental political posts by saying that we are really glad you are here. If you are here, you are probably awake to the problematic state that our planet is in. You are probably here because you are looking for like-minded individuals who care as much as you do and want to make a positive change politically and environmentally. I am so glad you found us because together we are stronger. Together, they will have no choice but to hear our voices. It will take hard work and perseverance but, as I am sure you know, it’s absolutely worth it.

Our vision is to help keep our fellow stewards of the earth up to date on environmental bills, amendments, and talks within the government, federally and locally. With this powerful knowledge, we can reach out to our representatives and let them know where we stand; that we care about the wellbeing of our planet, not only for ourselves but also for future generations.

Political leaders have a key role to play in developing and taking action to combat the world's environmental degradation. Visionary political leadership can influence a paradigm shift that can promote better treatment of the environment through legislation but ultimately the push needs to come from constituents like us.

Unfortunately, we are in a time when our top leaders are creating barriers and even back stepping on positive environmental change and progress. When presented with these obstacles, it can feel overwhelming and the task of fighting to create laws that protect the planet, wildlife, and ourselves from further degradation seems daunting but together we can push forward and we can make positive changes. As the late Margaret Mead said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.”

Along with our political blog and tips, Green Living will also provide you with local environmentally focused events so that green-minded individuals in our area can network and build relationships that will help strengthen our fight for a cleaner, healthier world and, hopefully, build lifelong friendships in the process. Again, we are so glad you are here! Stay tuned for more posts on political agendas, green living tips, and sign up to receive notifications for our local calendar.

Welcome, Friends!
